What’s New in Eclipse: A Recap of Our Latest Updates

At Eclipse, we constantly work to improve the software and provide you with the best possible recruitment experience. In this blog post, we’ll recap some of the exciting new features and enhancements added to Eclipse recently.

New Features and Enhancements:

SignNow integration

Streamline your document workflow and enhance efficiency with SignNow integration in Eclipse. Easily create and manage legally binding electronic signatures for your documents, allowing clients and candidates to sign from anywhere at any time. Monitor the signing process and ensure document integrity with SignNow’s secure platform.

Direct Engagement Features

Eclipse’s new Direct Engagement feature offers enhanced functionality for managing direct engagement placements. Enabling Direct Engagement for client records, client sites, vacancy records, or placement records can streamline your processes and ensure accurate calculations.

Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)

Ensuring the safety and suitability of your workforce is paramount. With Eclipse, you can streamline your DBS check process and maintain compliance with ease. Eclipse now offers automated DBS checks, saving you time and effort. When a specific DBS compliance item is marked as “Requested,” the system triggers an automatic check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Shift Importer

Eclipse has introduced a powerful new feature that allows you to import data directly from spreadsheets. This functionality streamlines your workflow and saves you valuable time.

Easily import vacancies, placements, and additional details from spreadsheets. Eclipse’s user-friendly template guides you through the process, ensuring accurate data entry and efficient record generation. Save time and improve your workflow with this powerful new feature.

Max Working Hours

Eclipse’s Max Working Hours feature helps you optimise scheduling and prevent overbooking By specifying a candidate’s maximum weekly working hours, you can ensure that candidates are not overworked and maintain a healthy work-life balance. This feature adds new Business Rules and  prevents candidates from exceeding their legal working hour  limits, ensuring compliance with working visas and avoiding legal issues.

Projects

Eclipse’s new Projects tab is a valuable tool for managing budgets and PO spends for project recruitment or in-sourcing. Create and manage spend across projects which can contain multiple PO numbers which restrict bookings against PO numbers to specific employers, sites or consultantsPerfect for assembling teams within a budget.

More Automation

More tools have been added to Eclipse’s Workflow Automation.  The  new change status action allows you to automate candidate status updates based on activity triggers such as  compliance status changes or specific contact log messages. For example, you can automatically change a candidate’s status to “Inactive” when a compliance item expires or if the candidate hasn’t worked in a set number of weeks, change their ‘active’ status back to ‘pre-screened’ automatically and generate a task for the recruiter to get in touch with the candidate.

Records can automatically be published to our API by the Workflow, for example timesheets can be uploaded to be submitted by the candidate on confirmation of a placement, or vacancies can be removed from your website’s job board automatically once filled or if a consultant edits details that need to be approved before publishing.

Nursing and Midwifery Council checks (NMC)

Eclipse’s automated NMC checks streamline the compliance process for candidates registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. By automating this process, you can save time, ensure accuracy, reduce errors, and provide a smoother onboarding experience for candidates. With Eclipse, you can efficiently manage NMC compliance and focus on other critical aspects of your recruitment process.
